Underwater Metal Detectors
Jewelry Detection
In this case the detection area is next to the beach. Close to the waterline, 90% of jewelry – rings and necklaces – were lost when plunging into the hip high waves. In underwater operation, metal discrimination is not as essential as in normal land use as there is by far less scrap metal and pull tabs made from aluminum cans hardly need to be suppressed anyway. Outstanding detection sensitivity as well as a good pinpointing capability is very important for a successful operation.
Archaeology
The area to be inspected varies from the beach next to the waterline to a much wider area reaching far into the water. In the later case, the amount of scrap metal becomes less with increasing distance to the beach. Under such working conditions, a handy design and a precise detector indication upon target acquisition is the secret to detection success. Looking at the equipment offered in the detector market, some designs really look quixotic. Think twice before you make your choice. EBINGER underwater metal detectors are designed by divers. Handy, easy to maintain and rugged design: they offer high detection performance.
